Who are we?

The William Temple Foundation is a charitable research and ideas hub that exists to promote the economic, social and political wellbeing of society in the tradition and spirit of William Temple.

How do we use your personal information?

We take the protection of your data seriously. The information you give us will be used to keep you informed of William Temple Foundation research, articles, news and upcoming events.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we only collect your name and email address and organisation (if appropriate) in order to keep you informed of our work and the latest news from the Foundation. This data is stored on the MailChimp servers, which are based in the US.

Subscribers to email communications

We use your email address to keep you updated with our work via a newsletter in accordance with your email preferences.

You can unsubscribe by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of each email.

We use MailChimp to send our email updates, Eventbrite to organise our events and send reminder emails to those who have booked, and Virgin Giving to conduct financial transactions. These companies may only use your information to perform these functions and may not use it for any other purposes.

The William Temple Foundation does not share your information with any third parties.

Access to your personal information

You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you contact us on info@williamtemplefoundation.org.uk and ask, we will be happy to:

  • tell you what information we hold;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to;
  • update it if it’s inaccurate;
  • remove it (unless there’s a legitimate reason why we need to keep it); and
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
