Friends of the William Temple Foundation and members of the public are invited to attend the inaugural lecture of Professor Chris Baker: ‘Globalised Religion in an Era of Uncertainty’ at the University of Chester on Tuesday 22nd September. Celebrating his appointment as the William Temple Professor of Religion and Public Life, our Director of Research Chris Baker will lecture on religion and politics, asking what prospects for a new global ethic of progressive change?
In advance of his inaugural lecture Professor Baker said, “I am thrilled that this event so clearly identifies the value of the close collaboration between the William Temple Foundation and the University of Chester. I believe that in the light of current global events, the subject matter of the lecture will be hugely topical and relevant. I hope it will generate much debate about how we might create a more sustainable and progressive politics that I believe most of the world is crying out for.”
The lecture will be held in the Beswick Lecture Theatre at 6:30pm on Tuesday 22nd September 2015. To claim a free ticket contact Jenni Westcott at j.westcott@chester.ac.uk.
